Ah, wow, you’d like to know more about me! Well, let me tell you what I’ve been up to:
You know, I was born in 1983…..no wait, that’s way too far back! 😛
As you might have guessed, I have been creating, drawing since I was little. It is something I just do, like eating, breathing. But wanting to be an artist is (was) not a highly recommended choice of career. That’s why I took some detours; I tried to fit in and do what was ‘sane’. But hey, life has it’s way and somehow it brought me back on track and landed me good freelance projects with Noordhoff Uitgevers B.V., Character Arts, LLC., Svapna Bharti and FoldyCards Ltd., as well as fun short term projects for passionate entrepreneurs and private commisions.
And so I found my way back to being an artist.
It was about the same time that I became a mother. And that I switched countries. Twice. So it has been a hell of a rocky ride, with lots of sleep deprivation, juggling family-time and work and having ‘a life’, but also bursting with experience and inspiration, new friends for life, new places, learning and growing.
I am so happy to be where I am now, as an artist. I still feel the nervousness of presenting my work, I still feel overwhelmed with joy when people are pleased with it; I’m always seeking to learn, to improve and develop my skills, but having established the long term professional relations with clients and the artwork I created so far, I can honestly say I am good at what I do, and love to do best!
